Ecological Restoration at Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area

The Nature Care Fund unit of Nature Connect’s team at Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area (KRCA) in collaboration with its Friends committee members invite you to join us in restoring a section of the Critically Endangered Cape Flats Sand Fynbos veld. We will be revegetating an area which was once disturbed to facilitate the velds recovery. On-site propagated plants will be used to revegetate the area and with your help, we can enhance its success rate and continue conserving nature for future generations.

Location: Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area

Meet: Wetton gate entrance, Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area

Accessibility: The terrain is relatively flat and easy to walk.

Who can join? All volunteers are welcome from as young as 6 years old.

Bring Along: Garden gloves and wear weather appropriate clothes & closed shoes. A camera if you would like to capture your amazing work!
