Claremont residents and some members of Harfield Village believe that the application for the proposed consent for the development for a nursery and a daytime coffee shop will be an asset to the community, while others believe it will add to traffic congestion problems as parking would become an issue.
A land use application was submitted for the rezoning of erven 53387 and 53388 situated on Second Avenue in Harfield Village in Claremont from General Residential (GR4) to Local Business (LB2) for consent to permit a restaurant and a plant nursery as well as a departure to permit 14 parking bays.
